10月16日新潟県スポーツ公園カナール広場で開催された、リレー・フォー・ライフ・ジャパン2022にいがたに、501st日本部隊が出撃しました。
リレー・フォー・ライフとは、がん患者さんやその家族を支援し、地域全体でがんと向き合い、がん征圧を目指し、１年を通じて取り組むチャリティ活動です。
新潟では2015年より「リレー・フォー・ライフ・ジャパンにいがた」がはじまりました。
昨年一昨年とコロナ過の中オンラインイベントとなり、今年は規模は縮小されましたが3年ぶりに現地リアル開催となりました。
私たち501st日本部隊メンバーもサバイバー（患者、経験者）やケアギバー（家族、遺族、支援者）、他参加者と共にがんと闘っている仲間や亡くなった人に祈りを捧げながら歩きました。

In Niigata, the Relay for Life Japan started in 2015.
Last year and the year before last, it became an online event during the corona crisis, and although the scale was reduced this year, it was held locally for the first time in three years.
We, the members of the 501st Japanese unit, also walked with survivors (patients, experienced people), caregivers (family, bereaved families, supporters), and other participants while offering prayers to friends who are fighting cancer and the deceased.
