東急プラザ銀座で開催中のポップアップストア「STAR WARS GALAXY in GINZA 2023」で開催されたファン参加型イベントに501st日本部隊が出撃。
これは、ROTJ40周年を記念した特別なイベントでもあり、スター・ウォーズファンがお気に入りのキャラクターを間近で見たり、写真を撮ったりして、スター・ウォーズを体感できる楽しいイベントとなりました。
本イベントは、501st、レベルリージョン、セイバーギルド、ジェダイ・オーダーのメンバーで構成された合同イベントです。
あらゆる年齢のファンが、3階のSWポップアップショップでMay the 4thのスタンプラリーの旅をスタート。
ゴールに到達すると、屋上エリアにアクセスし、ディズニー・ジャパンが提供する、ROTJ40周年記念やマンダロリアンのTVシリーズなど、様々な背景の前で、お気に入りのSWキャラクターと記念撮影を行いました。
3日間を通してのファンの反応は素晴らしく、多くのファンが毎日足を運んでくれました。
暗黒卿とマンドーはイベントの主役で、写真撮影に長い列ができ、彼らが登場するたびに多くの興奮を与えてくれました。
イベントは大成功を収め、2025年のスター・ウォーズ・セレブレーション・ジャパンに向けてのキックオフ・イベントとして、たいへん効果的なものとなりました。

The first of its kind for Disney Japan and the 501st, this years May the 4th celebration was a 3 day Open Invite event held on the Tokyu Plaza Ginza rooftop for a super meet & greet with fans.
It was a special event also marking the 40th Anniversary of ROTJ.
This years event allowed star wars fans to get up close and personal with their favorite characters, take photos and enjoy a fun immersive Star Wars experience.
The event was a combined force of members from the 501st RL Saber Guild and Jedi Order.
Fans of all ages could start their May the 4th journey at the SW Pop-up shop on the third floor and enjoy a fun stamp rally to complete.
Once they reached their stamp rally goals the could gain access to the rooftop area to take photos with their favorite SW characters in front of various SW themed backdrops provided by Disney Japan.
Many of the backdrops were dedicated to celebrating ROTJ’s 40th anniversary and also the Mandalorian TV series.
The event setting provided participating members a safe place to roam the rooftop area, making for a lot of fun fan interaction and additional photo opportunities.
The fan reactions over the 3 days was amazing with so many of them coming back each day for more. Lord Vader and Mando were the stars of the show creating long lines for photo and creating a lot of excitement every time they appeared.
The event was a complete success and serves as a positive kicking off event for the road to Star Wars Celebration Japan 2025.
