仙台市青葉区にある佛國寺の本堂で開催された「おてらディスコ」に出撃。
このイベントは、様々な事情でクリスマスイブをひとりで過ごすお子さんや、ご家族がそろって集まれるようにと、住職自らが発案したお楽しみ会です。
広くあたたかい本堂で総勢70名のお子さんとご家族たちと、DJネモトさんがかけるみんなが知っているお馴染みの曲にあわせて、思い思いに自由に踊りからだを動かしました。
我々は、応援にかけつけた地元プロレスラーのエル・ササカマさんや、地域のボランティアの方々と一緒に、お子さんたちを見守りながら楽しくダンスや体操に参加。
そのあとは、多くの方の善意で寄贈されたお菓子やクリスマスケーキと、できたてのシチューが準備され、我々は配膳のお手伝い。
そしてみなさんと揃って昼食に参加。
おいしいと笑顔があふれる会場で参加された皆さんと、心あたたまる楽しいクリスマスイブを過ごしました。

Participated in “Otera Disco” held at the main hall of Bukkokuji Temple in Aoba Ward, Sendai City.
This event is a fun party designed by the head priest himself to bring together children who spend Christmas Eve alone for various reasons and their families.
In the spacious and warm main hall, a total of 70 children and their families danced and moved their bodies to the familiar tunes played by DJ Nemoto.
Together with local professional wrestler El Sasakama and local volunteers, we watched as the children energetically engaged in dance and gymnastics.
Afterwards, many people donated sweets, Christmas cakes, and freshly made stews, and we helped serve them.
Afterwards, we all gathered together for lunch. We had a heartwarming and fun Christmas Eve with everyone who attended, at a venue filled with delicious food and smiling faces.
