Who We Are

第501軍団日本部隊（501st Legion Japanese Garrison）は、「スター・ウォーズ」シリーズの世界に登場する悪役、モラルに欠けるキャラクター、善悪の派閥に属さないキャラクターを表現したコスチュームの制作と着用を通じて、スター・ウォーズを賞賛する国際コスチューム組織「The 501st Legion（第501軍団）」の日本支部です。コスチューミング活動を通じて、病院や施設などの慰問ボランティア、基金活動、国内外ファンや国内・海外メンバーとの積極的なコミュニケーション、地域貢献活動を行っています。

リレー・フォー・ライフとは、アメリカ対がん協会(ACS)が国際ライセンスを持っている企画で、日本では公益財団法人日本対がん協会(以下、対がん協会)にライセンスが与えられています。がん患者さんやそのご家族を支援し、地域全体でがんと向き合い、がん征圧をめざすチャリティー活動です。
Save Livesを使命とし、がんの告知を乗り越え、生きていることを祝福し(祝う Celebrate)旅立った愛する人たちをしのび(しのぶ Remember)がんで苦しむ人や悲しむ人をなくす社会を作る(立ち向かう Fight Back)ことをめざし、会場で仲間や、活動に賛同した人々と共に歩きます。
いわて会場は初参加でした。自己紹介の機会もいただき、あたたかく迎えていただきました。2日間、参加のみなさんと交流しながら、がん征圧へ思いをひとつに歩きました。

This project is internationally licensed by the American Cancer Society (ACS), and in Japan it is licensed to the Japan Cancer Society (hereinafter referred to as the Cancer Society). This is a charity activity that supports cancer patients and their families, faces cancer in the community as a whole, and aims to conquer cancer.
With Save Lives as our mission, overcome the news of cancer and celebrate being alive (Celebrate) Remember loved ones who have passed away (Remember) Create a society that eliminates those who suffer from cancer and those who are sad (Stand up Fight) Back), we will walk with friends and people who support our activities at the venue.
This was my first time to participate in the Iwate venue. We were warmly welcomed and given the opportunity to introduce ourselves, and over the two days, we interacted with the participants as we walked together with one mind toward the conquest of cancer.
