遠い昔、はるか彼方の銀河系で…沖縄は銀河の祭典の発信地だった。
2010年、キャンプ・フォスター図書館がスター・ウォーズ・デイに501部隊とジェダイ・オーダーを招待したのが始まりでした。
このイベントは大成功を収め、やがてコミック、アニメ、SF文化を称える恒例行事となりました。
地元のコミコンは年々拡大し、沖縄で最大かつ最高のイベントである沖縄コミコンに成長。
2023年12月2日と3日、キャンプ・フォスター・フィールドハウスに米軍基地と日本のコミュニティから1万人以上のファンが集まり、内なるギークを解き放ち、ヒーローに会い、大いに盛りあがりました。
観客の中にはスター・ウォーズ・ファンも多く、ダース・レバンや501sの隊員たち、そしてキュートなR2-D2アストロメク・ドロイドの姿に歓喜しました。
これは501stとマンダロリアン・マー クスの共同ミッションで、沖縄にスター・ウォーズ・マジックをもたらした。
501stのメンバーはゲストと交流し、写真を撮り、帝国の喜びを分かち合いました。
沖縄のスター・ウォーズ愛好家にとって素晴らしい一日となりました。

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away… Okinawa was the epicenter of a galactic celebration.
It all started in 2010, when the Camp Foster Library invited the 501st and Jedi Order to join them for a Star Wars Day.
The event was a hit and soon became an annual tradition of honoring comic, anime, and sci-fi culture.
The local Comic-con expanded and improved each year, until it became the Okinawa Comic-con, the biggest and best event of its kind on the island.
On Dec 2nd and 3rd, 2023, over 10,000 fans from both the US Military base and the Japanese community gathered at the Camp Foster Field House for the 2023 Okinawa Comic-con, where they could unleash their inner geek, meet their heroes, and have a blast. Among the crowd, there were many Star Wars fans, who were ecstatic to see our Darth Revan, our 501st troopers, and the cute R2-D2 astromech droid.
This was a joint mission between the 501st and Mandalorian Mercs, who brought the Star Wars magic to Okinawa.
Our 501st members interacted with the guests, snapped photos, and shared the joy of the Empire.
It was a great day for Star Wars lovers on Okinawa!
