Who We Are

第501軍団日本部隊（501st Legion Japanese Garrison）は、「スター・ウォーズ」シリーズの世界に登場する悪役、モラルに欠けるキャラクター、善悪の派閥に属さないキャラクターを表現したコスチュームの制作と着用を通じて、スター・ウォーズを賞賛する国際コスチューム組織「The 501st Legion（第501軍団）」の日本支部です。コスチューミング活動を通じて、病院や施設などの慰問ボランティア、基金活動、国内外ファンや国内・海外メンバーとの積極的なコミュニケーション、地域貢献活動を行っています。

【出撃レポート】2023.9.16~17 リレー・フォー・ライフ・ジャパン2023にいがた

リレー・フォー・ライフとは、がん患者さんやその家族を支援し、地域全体でがんと向き合い、がん征圧を目指し、1年を通じて取り組むチャリティ活動です。
今年は4年ぶりに新潟県スポーツ公園カナール広場において、リアル夜通し開催が行われ、501st日本部隊が出撃しました。
4年ぶりの夜通し開催ということもあり、久しぶりに啓発ブースと飲食ブースが復活し賑わいを見せていました。
私たち日本部隊メンバーはサバイバー（患者、経験者）やケアギバー（家族、遺族、支援者）、そして他の参加者の方々と共に、がんと闘っている仲間や亡くなった人に祈りを捧げながら歩きました。
約160万円程の寄付金が集まりました。

Relay for Life is a year-round charity activity that supports cancer patients and their families, faces cancer as a community, and aims to conquer cancer.
This year, for the first time in four years, the event was held on-site overnight.
It was the first time in four years that the event was being held all night, and the awareness booths and food and beverage booths had returned for the first time in a long time, and the event was lively.
We, members of the 501st Japanese Army Corps, walked together with survivors (patients, people who have experienced cancer), caregivers (families, bereaved families, supporters), and other participants as we prayed for our comrades who are fighting cancer and those who have passed away.
Approximately 1.6 million yen in donations was collected.
