未就学児とその保護者を対象とした「Back To School Expo」が初めて開催され、在日アメリカ大使館CLOのご厚意により、501st日本部隊が招待されました。
このイベントは、子ども達が新学期を迎えるのを待ちわびることを目的に、食べ物や楽しいゲーム、アクティビティが用意され、剣道や和太鼓など、子どもたちが興味を持ちそうなクラブが参加しました。
また、地元消防署による防災フェアや地震シミュレーターも設置。
トルーパーはイベント会場をパトロールし、子供たちや親たちと記念撮影をしたり、みんなが楽しい時間を過ごせるように気を配ったりと、温かい歓迎を受けました。和太鼓や剣道の指導もあり、メンバーたちは楽しいひとときを過ごすことができました。
今回もミッションを成功させたメンバーの皆さん、お疲れ様でした！

The US Embassy in Tokyo Community Liaison Office kindly invited the Japanese Garrison for a first time meet & greet Back To School expo for pre school kids and their parents.
Aimed at getting the kids excited for the new school year, there was food, fun games and activities set up with club stalls that included kendo, taiko drums and other things of interest for the kids to try.
There was also an emergency preparedness fair set up with the local fire department and an earthquake simulator.
Troopers received a warm welcome patrolling the event area, sharing photo ops with kids and parents and making sure everyone had a great time.
There was a even a little fun time for troopers to have their try at taiko drums and some kendo instruction.
Well done to our troopers for another successful mission!
