Who We Are

第501軍団日本部隊（501st Legion Japanese Garrison）は、「スター・ウォーズ」シリーズの世界に登場する悪役、モラルに欠けるキャラクター、善悪の派閥に属さないキャラクターを表現したコスチュームの制作と着用を通じて、スター・ウォーズを賞賛する国際コスチューム組織「The 501st Legion（第501軍団）」の日本支部です。コスチューミング活動を通じて、病院や施設などの慰問ボランティア、基金活動、国内外ファンや国内・海外メンバーとの積極的なコミュニケーション、地域貢献活動を行っています。

多賀城創建1300年記念の今年、初夏の訪れを告げる「多賀城跡あやめまつり」が開催されました。
特別史跡「多賀城跡」の一角、約2万1千平方メートルのあやめ園に、800種300万本のアヤメ、カキツバタ、ハナショウブが咲き乱れ、その品種数は東北随一です。
あやめをバックに記念撮影をした後に、あやめまつり会場の交流ステージにて、多賀城盛り上げ隊タガレンジャーと駆けつけた各地のキャラクターさんたちと一緒に会場を盛りあげ、子どもたちのじゃんけん大会のお手伝いをしました。
6月とは思えない暑さでしたが、それを感じさせないくらいに、元気な子どもたちと楽しい時間を過ごしました。

This year, in commemoration of the 1,300th anniversary of the founding of Tagajo Castle, the “Tagajo Ruins Iris Festival” was held to herald the arrival of early summer.
The 21,000-square-meter Iris Garden, a special historic site of Taga Castle Ruins, is home to 3 million irises, kakitsubata, and hanashoubu, representing 800 varieties and the largest number of irises in the Tohoku region.
After taking a commemorative photo with the irises in the background, we joined the Tagajo Excitement Team Tagaranger and other characters from around Japan on the exchange stage at the Iris Festival site to enliven the event and help the children win the rock-paper-scissors tournament.
We had a great time with the children, who were so energetic that we didn’t feel the heat.
